Outside the Loop Installation

Outside the Loop, 2022
Acrylic Latex Paint on wood; 4’x4’

Inspired by ceaseless commutes and how we can break away from our own perceptions of community, this was painted live during TYPROs Street Cred: Outside the Loop event. The goal of this event was to transform an abandoned warehouse in the Crutchfield district of Tulsa by inviting visual artists, makers, vendors, and musicians to fill the space for the day.

Big Al’s Healthy Food Installation

Big Al’s Healthy Food Installation, 2021

Acrylic latex paint; 59” x 283”

Designed and painted in collaboration with Jamie Pierson.

Tasked with transforming a wall in Big Al’s Healthy Food, Jamie Pierson and I knew we wanted to do something bold and colorful. Inspired by Big Al’s crisp menu and seventies mod, this installation was designed to work with the existing color palette of the dining room.

Tulsa Art Alley Installation

Tulsa Art Alley Installation, 2019

Vinyl mount; 36” x 36”

Tulsa Art Alley was curated by Kelly Cook, Tulsa artist and graphic designer, with Libby Billings, restaurateur and urban designer.

When given the opportunity to move out of Tulsa, would you take it? David Frizzell and Shelly West long to return to the state in their 1981 single, “You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma.” When I applied to participate in this project, I was debating if it was time for me to take a chance on a big move. I altered the lyric to imbue passersby that there are already full and bright experiences shining upon them in Tulsa.
